ABC Signup's Resources Bring Some Clarity to the Registration Software Market

ABC Signup recently created three publications covering different aspects of registration software to help consumers become more educated about the product and how it might suit their program or event needs.

“From our experience, more informed prospects make for better customers,” said Chandler. “They also shorten the sales cycle and make it easier for us to differentiate ourselves from the competition.”

Though it’s been around for more than a decade, registration software and its benefits, functionality and applications remain a bit of an unknown to many program and event administrators. With that in mind, registration software innovator ABC Signup recently created a number of free resources to better inform consumers about the product.

By the numbers: 5, 9 and 16
The company’s most recent publications examine and help shed light on registration systems from three separate angles: essential features, key benefits and typical applications.

  • “5 Essential Features of Registration Software” details the key tools that allow users to create an online platform to market their programs and events, accept and administer registrations and much more.
  • “9 Benefits of Online Registration Software” examines specific value propositions users can expect such software to deliver to their programs or events.
  • “When to Prescribe Registration Software” lists 16 types of programs and events that leverage registration software to make the process more convenient for registrants and more efficient for event administrators.

“We present information in these publications that addresses the types of questions we typically hear from prospective customers or see in the marketplace,” said Todd Chandler, president of ABC Signup. “Our goal is to create content that helps consumers first discern if registration software is the right solution and then determine whether their challenges require more robust tools or something else.”

‘Informed prospects make for better customers’
Chandler says that while the publications are provided as a service to consumers, ABC Signup benefits as well. First, the resources expand the company’s profile and subject matter authority as they are searched and accessed over the Internet. Second, in some cases the publications enable ABC Signup to gain contact information from prospects interested in learning more about the product.

Most important, the publications help qualify or disqualify prospects by educating them about registration software solutions vis-à-vis their organizational needs.

“From our experience, more informed prospects make for better customers,” said Chandler. “They also shorten the sales cycle and make it easier for us to differentiate ourselves from the competition.”

Find them under ‘Resources’
Consumers can access the documents by navigating to the ABC Signup website’s “Resources” page, which can be found under the “About Us” tab located on the home page. There they will find a number of additional resources.

Two white papers – “Online Registration Systems: Buy vs. Build” and “Gauging the ROI of Registration Software” – take a quick look at the economics of registration software. An eBooklet, “10 Case Studies: Online Registration Software,” recounts the before and after experiences of ABC Signup customers. And the site’s most popular download to date, “Buyers’ Guide: Online Registration Software,” offers tips and questions to ask to help consumers find the right fit for their needs. These and other documents are also accessible by clicking the appropriate “call to action” buttons placed strategically across the ABC Signup website.

“The registration software market is fragmented, underpublicized and ever-evolving,” said Chandler. “There are a couple of big players, many new startups and dozens of firms that fall somewhere in between. Things like pricing, functionality, and niche markets served vary significantly among competitors. We began compiling these resources – including the three latest publications – in an attempt to help consumers better navigate what can be a somewhat confusing market.”
