Healthcare Data Solutions announced today results from their recent survey, titled Marketing That Makes Physicians Respond: What They Told Us. The survey, conducted in partnership with Revenew, was sent to a random sample of physicians from Healthcare Data Solutions’ PhysicianPRO® database of 1 million doctors. Nearly 600 physicians from across the country in a variety of specialities responded.
The survey focused on several marketing topics such as Messaging Effectiveness, Effectiveness of Different Marketing Techniques, How to Get the Message Through and Getting the Physician’s Attention – all to help shed light on Physician behavior for companies trying to market products and services to Doctors. Among the highlights are:
- 55% of Physicians reported that they would most likely respond to a case study or educational material offer over other offers, including cash incentives
- Email is the preferred method of hearing about new products or services, followed surprisingly by Direct Mail, with a Phone Call being least preferred
- 48% of Physicians reported that they would need to be exposed to a product by various marketing channels between 3-4 times before considering it
