All of us here at Digital Sports Group are proud we've had the opportunity to work with The PFA to give the fans a fantastic and unique fan resource for David Luiz.

The Facebook page has become a thriving hub for the Chelsea defender since it's launch and now boasts a vibrant and rapidly growing community of fans. The Facebook page along with David Luiz player profile on football.co.uk provide the only online location of the official PFA biography, lifetime stats, news and high resolution gallery.

A central defender who joined Chelsea in January 2011. A product of Vitoria in his home country, David was not a big name in domestic Brazilian football but moved to Europe in January 2007 joining Benfica.

He flourished in Portugal and became as well known for his rambunctious and thrill-seeking attacking football as he was for his outlandish hairstyle.

He moved to Stamford Bridge in a big-money move which saw Serbian midfielder Nemanja Matic move in the opposite direction, and was an instant hit in West London, scoring his first goal for the club against Manchester United.

He became a UEFA Champions League winner in May 2012, partnering Gary Cahill in the centre of defence against Bayern Munich with captain John Terry absent through suspension.

Head of Operations at DSG, Matthew Tait had this to say, “David Luiz really has no shortage of fans after his performances for Chelsea and Brazil in recent times, and we can see that by the success of his PFA Facebook page.

“All of us here at Digital Sports Group are proud we've had the opportunity to work with The PFA to give the fans a fantastic and unique fan resource for David Luiz.”

DSG became the official digital partner of the Professional Footballers Association (PFA) earlier this year and have since launched a number of Player Profile fan pages on social media site Facebook as well as providing official player pages on their football news site football.co.uk.
