Divorce coaches are uniquely positioned to help divorcing individuals in ways not provided by other divorce professionals.
Tampa, FL (PRWEB) March 28, 2013
Divorce Coaching Incorporated, a Florida corporation, has been awarded approval for continuing coaching education (CCE) units by the International Coach Federation (ICF) for two of their divorce coach training and certification programs offered though the College for Divorce Coaching®. The ICF is the only organization that awards a global credential which is currently held by 7,000 coaches worldwide.
Divorce Coaching Inc. founded in Jan 2011 is in its second year in providing the CDC Certified Divorce Coach® Professional Education Programs. “As a member of the ICF for the past 10 years, it is an honor for our programs to be approved by the ICF. The coaches that complete our programs earn 29.5 CCE units or 56 CCE units”, says Pegotty Cooper, co-founder of Divorce Coaching Inc. and co-facilitator for CDC Certified Divorce Coach® programs. “In addition to the best practices in divorce coaching, we include business development training, an important element often missing in coach training programs, and one that increases the coach’s confidence in developing a professional coaching practice.”
Randall R. Cooper, MBA, CFP®, CDFA™, Supreme Court of Florida Certified Family Mediator and co-founder with Pegotty Cooper of Divorce Coaching Inc. has been working with couples as a divorce mediator and individuals as a divorce financial analyst for the past 9 years. “The motivation behind creating the CDC Certified Divorce Coach® was the realization that there was something big missing in the process – and that was a divorce coach. Divorce coaches are uniquely positioned to help divorcing individuals in ways not provided by other divorce professionals: organizing for the process of divorce, clarifying decisions to be made, developing more effective communication skills, and becoming a credible client in working with their lawyer. As quoted in the Reuters article “What can a divorce coach do for you?”, what is needed is a safe, supportive, nonjudgmental and patient environment to help the individuals focus, think better, and make better decisions for themselves and their family. We want to be a player in changing the face of divorce and we are doing that by creating the professional standard for divorce coaching.”
In addition to the CDC Certified Divorce Coach Professional Education programs, Divorce Coaching Inc. is a provider of divorce-related continuing education for Certified Divorce Financial Analysts (CDFA™) and has 15 divorce-related CEU webinars, two of which are offered each week.
