(PRWEB UK) 28 March 2013

Superbreak, the London theatre breaks specialist, has reported a +26% increase in online sales for the The Book of Mormon musical packages since the show started previewing in February 2013.

After recent news that sales for the show have shattered West End box-office records, The Book of Mormon has already entered the tour operator's top 12 selling London theatre shows rubbing shoulders with the likes of long-standing productions including the The Lion King, Les Miserables and Jersey Boys.

Since transferring to the Prince of Wales theatre from Broadway, The Book of Mormon has attracted thousands of people to the West End and has opened to some rave reviews. Superbreak customers can now purchase The Book of Mormon theatre packages from £113pp, including tickets to see the show and overnight accommodation with breakfast in a choice of central London hotels. Booking data shows that a high percentage of customers who have booked to see the musical have chosen to package their tickets with the Imperial Hotel Group, which offer a range of hotels close to many of London's theatre venues, including the four star Hotel Russell and the three star President Hotel London.

Last year, almost 71,000 passengers travelled with the firm on one of their popular theatre breaks, with favourites such as The Lion King, Jersey Boys, Wicked and Billy Elliot the Musical extremely popular amongst Superbreak customers. The adaptation of film classics such as Ghost The Musical and The Bodyguard Musical, along with UK regional tours including the The Lion King, Dirty Dancing and Hairspray have also served to greatly increase Superbreak’s already theatre product portfolio and offer clients more ways to enjoy the magic of the theatre both in and outside of London.

Head of Theatre and Events at Superbreak, David Thomas, commented: "This is the show that everyone is talking about, and will be for a long, long time to come. You would expect, biting, brilliant comedy from the creators of South Park (remember, The Book of Mormon is for audiences of 18 and over and contains explicit language) but it is also one of the most finely written and uplifting Musicals that I have seen in 30 years. The audience were howling with laughter from start to finish –and long into the night!"
