Spring is our favorite season. We do a lot of fun activities outside in the great weather!
Potomac, Maryland (PRWEB) March 28, 2013
At Potomac Seniors Village, spring has sprung. The snowfall from this week did not stop the residents at the assisted living in Montgomery County from welcoming the beginning of a new season. Residents and staff are excited to say good-bye to winter and say hello to spring.
Residents spent a lot of time outside doing many different activities. Many residents enjoyed walking on the driveway and around the yard. After that, they spent some time gardening. They were given tools to dig into the ground and plant flowers. Also, residents with pets brought their companions outside with them to play in the sun.
While indoors, residents did some of their own spring cleaning as well. Many residents wanted to reorganize their rooms. New pictures were put up on the walls and furniture was also moved around. Many residents put new linens and comforters on their beds to add a touch of the new season to their rooms. Residents were given the option to unpack their spring clothes, but many want to wait a couple more weeks when the weather is consistently warmer. In addition, the sounds of drills and hammers were prominent for a few days in one of the homes. Some renovations took place to add more space for residents and staff at the assisted living Potomac.
The staff and residents of the assisted living Potomac look forward to spring too because it is a great time when they can take advantage of the beautiful and spacious 6.7 acre lot. In celebration of the new season, new and exciting activities will be added. These activities will include outdoor snack time, games, exercise routines and other fun activities that will involve nature and the outdoor environment.
