Consumer Attorney Services supported the Boys & Girls Clubs of Northeast Florida’s Career Launch Program by inviting them for a unique career building opportunity on March 25, 2013. The NE FL Boys & Girls Clubs toured Consumer Attorney Services’ facility, engaged in presentations on various career paths and received a monetary donation from Consumer Attorney Services.
Consumer Attorney Services enthusiastically reached out to the NE FL Boys & Girls Clubs as part of their ongoing corporate social responsibility initiative.
“After learning about the Career Launch program, we were eager to lend our support by demonstrating some of the great career paths at Consumer Attorney Services,” said Thomas Adam, managing attorney at Consumer Attorney Services.
“The staff at Consumer Attorney Services was extremely professional and generous with their time, talents and treasure. Our young people benefited tremendously by this partnership and the opportunity to see a variety of careers in action and think about their own futures and possible career paths,” said Darby Stubberfield, director of development at the Boys & Girls Clubs of Northeast Florida.
The Boys & Girls Clubs’ Career Launch program strives to prepare teenagers for a promising career in America’s workforce. According to the Boys & Girls Clubs’ website, the program, “…encourages Club members ages 13 to 18 to assess their skills and interests, explore careers, make sound educational decisions…”

Fox’s presentation to the Boys & Girls Clubs included a segment on the strength of arguments and the skillsets required of legal professionals. Fox concluded that the legal profession required being competitive and curious. In addition, he emphasized the importance of diversity, both academic and cultural, in college and law school.
Angelena Brown, attorney network administrator with Consumer Attorney Services also presented to the NE FL Boys & Girls Clubs. She commented on Consumer Attorney Services’ support of the Career Launch Program in saying, “The youth is our future and mentorships should be supported by all companies and corporations.”
