On March 27, 2013 Insight Analytical Labs announced that Gary Shade will be a presenter at the ERAI conference.

On April 19, 2013, Gary Shade will be presenting at the ERAI conference at the Rosen Centre Hotel in Orlando, Florida at 9:45 to 10:15 and again at 1:45 to 2:15. Mr. Shade’s presentation is entitled: “Contrasting Quality Inspections and Engineering Inspection for Counterfeit Detection” and addresses when the extra incurred cost of involving engineering in component authenticity inspection is warranted.

Gary Shade and Insight Analytical Labs have been involved with Component Authenticity since 2007. Gary has been invited to speak on the topic several times since, and has been one of the founders of IAL-Component Assurance, IAL’s subsidiary in Oldsmar, FL dedicated to authenticity inspections. Gary has also served as the ISTFA Co-Chair of the Counterfeit Electronics session for the past 3 years. Gary's current position at IAL is V.P. of Engineering and Project Manager, which allows him to practice hands-on FA while developing new techniques and assist in training.
