Last night, EmptyLemon joined recruitment companies from up and down the UK at the annual Onrec awards to celebrate the firms that have been making waves in the industry over the past year.

Last night, EmptyLemon joined recruitment companies from up and down the UK at the annual Onrec awards to celebrate the firms that have been making waves in the industry over the past year.

The ninth annual online recruitment awards took place at The Grange, St Paul’s Hotel in London. Over 350 sector representatives turned up to enjoy the ceremony and mingle with others from their industry.

There were 24 categories over all, including accolades for technical innovation, use of social media; the best use of online recruitment by an agency and the personality of the year.

EmptyLemon sponsored the offline marketing category, and was nominated for the best newcomer of the year, technical innovation of the year and best use of online marketing of the year in the generalist categories. EmptyLemon’s Phil O’Grady also received a nomination for personality of the year.

The ceremony followed a half-day trade conference organised by Onrec to discuss the latest trends within the recruitment industry, as well as looking at the effect the economy is having on employment opportunities. .

Andrew Kelly, Development Manager at EmptyLemon said: “We’re very proud to have been involved in this year’s Onrec awards and reflect on how far we’ve come in such a short space of time”. .
