VisualCron - advanced scheduler, integration and automation tool for Windows is releasing a major update which includes Virtual Server and Hyper-V Tasks.

VisualCron is an automation tool for Windows that is used by companies all over the world. It replaces the built in Task Scheduler in Windows and extends it with a lot more advanced functionality.

Hyper-V, codenamed Viridian and formerly known as Windows Server Virtualization, is a native hypervisor that enables platform virtualization on x86-64 systems.

VisualCron is able to control existing Hyper-V instances, local or remote, with its new set of Tasks:

  •     List VM - The Hyper-V - List VM allows to list virtual machines on a specific Hyper-V Server.
  •     Start VM - The Hyper-V - Start VM allows to start a virtual machine that is hosted on a Hyper-V Management Server.
  •     Stop VM - The Hyper-V - Start VM allows to stop a virtual machine that is hosted on a Hyper-V Management Server.
  •     Pause VM - The Hyper-V - Start VM allows to pause a virtual machine that is hosted on a Hyper-V Management Server.
  •     Suspend VM - The Hyper-V - Start VM allows to suspend a virtual machine that is hosted on a Hyper-V Management Server.
  •     Resume VM - The Hyper-V - Start VM allows to resume a virtual machine that is hosted on a Hyper-V Management Server.
  •     Check VM - The Hyper-V - Check VM Task allows to determine the state of a specific virtual machine hosted on a Hyper-V Management Server.
  •     Reset VM - The Hyper-V - Start VM allows to reset a virtual machine that is hosted on a Hyper-V Management Server.
  •     Create snapshot - The Hyper-V - Start VM allows to create a system snapshot of a virtual machine that is hosted on a Hyper-V Management Server.
  •     Apply snapshot - The Hyper-V - Start VM allows to apply a system snapshot of a virtual machine that is hosted on a Hyper-V Management Server.
  •     Delete snapshot - The Hyper-V - Start VM allows to delete a system snapshot of a virtual machine that is hosted on a Hyper-V Management Server.

Virtual Server

Microsoft Virtual Server is a virtualization solution that facilitates the creation of virtual machines on the Windows XP, Windows Vista and Windows Server 2003 operating systems.

VisualCron is able to control existing Virtual Server instances, local or remote, with its new set of Tasks:

  •     Start VM - The Virtual Server - Start VM Task starts a specific virtual machine
  •     Pause VM - The Virtual Server - Pause VM Task puts a specific virtual machine in pause mode
  •     Reset VM - The Virtual Server - Reset VM Task resets a specific virtual machine
  •     Turn off VM - The Virtual Server - Turn off VM Task turns off a specific virtual machine
  •     Save VM state - The Virtual Server - Save VM state Task saves the current state of a specific virtual machine
  •     Check VM status - The Virtual Server - Check VM Task retrieves the status of a specific virtual machine
  •     List VM machines - Tye Virtual Server - List VM Task retrieves a list on all virtual machines on a specific server
