The Presentation Room at L’Ecole Culinaire, 1245 North Germantown Parkway in Cordova, is now open for lunch, dinner and a new tapas happy hour.

Lunch is held from 11:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m. every day and includes a variety of appetizers, soups, salads, entrees and desserts for prices as low as $5. The lunch menu features a daily soup inspired by the students as well as Hoe Cakes and Hand-Dived Scallops. The sandwiches offered are the Cuban & Huevos, Short Rib Burger, Grilled Lobster “BLT” and Bronzed Sole, all served with seasoned French Fries, German Potato Salad or a Side Salad. Featured entrees include Crispy Duck, Flat Iron Steak and Crispy Porchetta.

“Our students are trained by professional chefs, “says Bonnie Delashmit, L’Ecole Culinaire Campus Director in Memphis. “We are eager to show off the quality of food and service the Presentation Room Restaurant provides and train our student chefs to use their skills in a real world environment.”

Every Thursday from 2:30 p.m. to 6:30 p.m. L’Ecole Culinaire hosts a tapas happy hour featuring rotating menus. Several of the featured items on these menus include Sweet Potato Gnocchi, Mussels a la Mariniere served with Grilled Bread or Quiche Lorraine served with Mixed Greens. This new happy hour event includes three courses, choosing one item from each course for the price of $15 or priced at $20 when including a glass of wine (red or white) served with the main course. Each additional glass of wine is $5. Dinner is served daily following happy hour from 6:30 p.m. to 8:30 p.m.

The dinner menu begins with an array of appetizers including Ahi Tuna Carpaccio and Popcorn Bisque. The main course is presented as an assortment of options like Lobster “Mac & Cheese”, Pan Roasted Duck Breast and Coffee Rubbed Spiced Pork.

The Presentation Room Restaurant is the final phase of L'École Culinaire’s culinary degree programs. Each semester, the restaurant allows student chefs to gain practical experience by creating new and distinctive menus and utilizing the skills taught at L'École to run a restaurant.
