The Eagles have landed. They have the best selling album of all time. They have six Grammy Awards; and they’ve sold over 120 million albums worldwide.
And now, they’ve just released tickets to their latest tour, triggering a soaring wave of search traffic for seats. The road trip, called History of the Eagles, is on top of the band’s recently released documentary, which aired on Showtime last month. The three-disc set is scheduled for release on DVD and Blu-ray on April 30.
Set to take flight at the KFC Yum! Center in Louisville, Kentucky on July 6, the band’s latest journey is booked for 11 dates through July 25, 2013.
After Louisville, stops include Summerfest in Milwaukee on July 7, Quicken Loans Arena in Cleveland on July 9, Air Canada Centre in Toronto July 11, Scotiabank Place in Ottawa on July 15, and the Wells Fargo Center in Philadelphia on July 16.
The band then performs at the Mohegan Sun Arena in Uncasville on July 18, the Comcast Center in Boston on July 19, the Verizon Center in Washington D.C. on July 22, the Consol Energy Center in Pittsburgh on July 23, and the Bethel Woods Center in Bethel Woods on July 25.
Based on buzz from the band’s website, Glenn Frey, Don Henley, Joe Walsh and Timothy B. Schmit will perform their classic hits, including “Hotel California,” “New Kid In Town,” “Take It To The Limit,” “One Of These Nights,” “Lyin’ Eyes,” “Rocky Mountain Way,” “Best Of My Love” and “Take It Easy.” Tracks from the individual band members’ solo catalogs will also be featured.
“The Eagles are one of the most well-known bands in history, so it is widely anticipated that ticket search and sales activity will soar,” said Felina Martinez at online ticket marketplace BuyAnySeat.com. “Just as with past tours, it is expected that all of their shows will sell out.”
“That’s why we’re proud to offer fans the most complete and continually refreshed selection of concert tickets, with a worry-free guarantee to protect their purchase,” said Martinez.

The band’s latest three-disc DVD set was produced to provide an unprecedented look into the history of the band and its music. The set includes History of the Eagles Part One and History of the Eagles Part Two, along with Eagles Live at the Capital Centre – March 1977, which features never-before-released footage from the Eagles’ two-night stand at Washington, D.C. during the Hotel California tour.
History of the Eagles made its television broadcast debut on Showtime last month, earning the network its highest ratings for a music documentary in eight years. In addition, Part One premiered at the Sundance Film Festival in January.
The Eagles have sold more than 120 million albums worldwide, earning five Number One U.S. singles and six Grammy Awards. The band’s Greatest Hits 1971-1975 is the best-selling album of all time, with sales in excess of 29 million units. The group’s Hotel California and Greatest Hits Volume 2 have sold more than 16 and 11 million albums respectively. The Eagles were inducted into the Rock & Roll Hall of Fame in 1998.
