Doyle Raizner founding partner Jeff Raizner will moderate a panel discussion at the upcoming Texas Association of Public Insurance Adjusters 2013 Spring Conference in Dallas April 10-11. The topic discussion “Bad Faith, Appraisals and Ethics” features several speakers from different areas of the insurance realm. Attorney Andrew Slania will also speak at the conference on the topic of “PA 201,” which will be an informative panel discussion on the practice of public adjusting. Andrew’s practice areas include bad faith litigation and business interruption.
Texas Association of Public Insurance Adjusters (TAPIA) is an organization dedicated to protecting the interests of insured Texas home and business owners who have suffered property insurance losses. The organization is comprised of adjusters who work on behalf of the insured/policyholder. The focus of the organization and its members is to provide continuing education for public insurance adjusters, protect the public insurance consumers and the rights of these consumers while upholding a strict code of ethics.
Jeff Raizner and many of the attorneys at Doyle Raizner have extensive experience working with public adjusters. The firm specializes in bad faith insurance litigation and has spearheaded litigation stemming from natural catastrophes such as Hurricane Ike and the hails and windstorms in Dallas, TX, McAllen, TX and Phoenix, AZ. Bad faith refers to an area of the law designed to protect an insured person against an insurance company when the company breaches its duty of good faith and fair dealing to the person they insure.
“I appreciate the opportunity to be a part of the upcoming TAPIA conference,” said Raizner. “It’s a great opportunity for the policyholder community to come together, learn together, and address the important issues we are all facing as we deal with new and creative challenges from the insurance industry.”
Doyle Raizner works to protect a policyholder when their claim has been delayed, denied or disputed resulting in financial burden while they fight with an insurance company. Oftentimes, a claim is undervalued or evidence of damage is attributed to lack of regular maintenance rather than a known weather event. A law firm may become involved when an insurance company refuses to reach a settlement with a public adjuster retained by the policyholder.
Jeff Raizner and the attorneys of Doyle Raizner stand behind TAPIA and the public adjusters who comprise the organization in their efforts to obtain justice on behalf of insurance policyholders.
