With the PIE, and these healthcare integration templates, a massive redundancy of effort can be eliminated.

Applied PilotFish Healthcare Integration, a provider of middleware healthcare integration solutions, announced today that it has published over 100 healthcare integration templates as a free resource for use by Hospitals, Medical Laboratories, Government Agencies, Government Medical Facilities, Public Health Departments and other healthcare stakeholders. These resources are available for download off of the PilotFish Interface Exchange (PIE), an online marketplace for interfaces, interface templates and components created by or complementary to its flagship product, the eiConsole, an HL7 interface engine IDE.
The downloadable templates for ADT, CDA and ORU messages when coupled with the company’s eiConsole can reduce healthcare integration time for healthcare entities by 80%.
The eiConsole for Healthcare is the industry’s only graphical IDE for configuring and maintaining interfaces that does not require or any programming or scripting. Using an “Assembly Line” process users work through a series of stages, each configurable and extendable. Drop down menus, simple configuration panels and drag and drop data mapping quickly enable eiConsole for Healthcare users to configure their interfaces. The HL7 interface templates downloaded off of the PIE instantly becoming available in the eiConsole inbox where they can be quickly tweaked, shared with others on the PIE or deployed.
“The PilotFish product suite solves a tremendous problem in the healthcare ecosystem. Hundreds of organizations are configuring the same interfaces. It is a huge duplication of effort. By offering these templates with half the interface preconfigured, PilotFish enables organizations to greatly reduce the effort required for configuring these interfaces. Once they configure them to or from their system, they can deploy them and then also share them on the PIE. Other organizations who may have the same or a similar system need only download these modified interfaces, make their own minor tweaks and deploy,” said Monika Vainius, Executive Vice President of Applied PilotFish Healthcare Integration. ”With the PIE, and these healthcare integration templates, a massive redundancy of effort can be eliminated. Providing these templates without charge is PilotFish’s contribution to enabling healthcare integration on an enormous scale, crucial to reducing healthcare costs and improving patient quality of care.”
PilotFish’s free healthcare integration templates can be downloaded from the PIE.
