saving the consumer hundreds of dollars over the cost of a professionally installed model

The Brooks Lincoln is one of the most aesthetically pleasing mobility lifts on the market. Most noticeable is its sleek attractive, appearance and neutral colors that enable it to blend into most color schemes instead of standing out in stark contrast as an eyesore in the home.
The Brooks Lincoln is a premium handicapped lift that comes with various standard features that set it apart from other brands, especially self-installed models. Chief among these features is the folding footrest, seat and armrests that allow for a very narrow profile when the stair lift is not in use. While some stairlifts include one or two of these, the Brooks Lincoln is the only self-installed stair lift available that includes all three (folding footrest, folding arms, folding seat) as standard.
Another premium feature that sets the Brooks Lincoln apart in the DIY market is its digital LED diagnostic display. This allows the customer to quickly and easily diagnose and resolve any potential problems or issues. If the stair lift fails to operate normally, the digital display will read an error code that is easily referenced in the included user manual, which not only gives you the cause of the problem, but the solution as well. In most cases, the issue is not actually a “problem” at all, but rather one of its many safety features has simply been activated, preventing the lift from operating until the cause has been resolved. For example, if an object was left on the stairway and it comes in contact with the lift while in use, it would trigger a safety switch that would immediately stop the lift until the object is removed. Each safety switch on the Brooks Lincoln has its own code that is displayed on the LED diagnostic system when triggered.
The Brooks Lincoln has a DC motor, which means it operates on battery power. This allows the unit to operate even during a power outage. It also allows for Soft Start/Stop technology – a feature that causes the lift to start and stop in a slow, gradual manner as opposed to sudden jerky movements that are common to models with AC motors. The batteries are included and come preinstalled on the Brooks Lincoln. There is no need to remove the batteries to recharge them, as they are charged automatically when the stair lift is resting at the top or bottom of the stairs.
A host of other features are included with the Brooks Lincoln, such as, a keyed on/off switch with keys included, wireless remote controls to call or send the unit, and user-friendly dual paddle controls on the armrests. Its state-of-the art Rack & Pinion drive ensures a smooth comfortable ride with no messy cables. The Brooks Lincoln is U.L. listed and includes a one year manufacturer’s warranty on all parts, and a lifetime warranty on the motor.
