Although owner and founder, Cole Evans, is not new to Nashville, his company, Good People Creative has officially existed for only about 90 days.
In that time, by highlighting his agency model—unique in the Nashville market—Cole and Good People Creative has secured more than $350,000 in contracts. “This,” says Evans, “is because we are approaching it differently. You don’t necessarily have to have a brick and mortar with 200 bodies in there to be able to help your client and put the right team together.”
It’s the clients that don’t necessarily need or want to pay for the standard agency that Evans talks to. He says, “You don’t have to have 10,000 likes to utilize Facebook to generate cash for your business. You don’t have to have 35,000 followers on Twitter, just because that’s what all the larger companies have.”
Evans asks this, “How are you being perceived by someone who can’t sit down and have coffee with you? How are you being perceived if someone has never met you when it comes to Google? When it comes to YouTube? When it comes to your social media? What about the design across all those elements? What are people doing, very quickly, to your brand?” He answers his own question, “They’re judging it. And for local, regional or small to medium-sized businesses, that’s extremely important.”
With a passion for making both the traditional marketing and the digital marketing arenas more accessible to the Mom & Pops of Nashville and Middle Tennessee, Evans says, “The digital space is the best place for small to medium-sized businesses to level the playing field…with the right strategy in place, they can bypass their major competitors, even those who’ve been doing it longer and are spending more money!”
