The Fashion Jewellery and Accessories Show 2013 with over 100 Exhibitors participating have received an overwhelming response on the inauguration day. The exhibition targeted at providing opportunities to the big, medium and small enterprises is being supported by brands like Swarovski Gems, Art Group, Neva Solitaire, Shanti Jewellers, Umang, Tip Top Fashions etc.
The exhibition is scheduled between April 04th and 07th, 2013 at Bombay Exhibition Centre, Goregaon East, Mumbai. The last day of the exhibition will remain open for walk-in customers.
Speaking on the occasion, Nagendra Mehta, Secretary of Imitation Jewellery Manufacturers Association said, “With gold and diamond being sold at sky-rocket pricing, day-by-day common people are showing an increasing trend towards purchasing of imitation jewellery. Moreover our creative designers have implemented superior styling and finish to the imitation jewellery making it equally or more compelling to own fashion jewellery.”
Madhukant Parekh, President of IJMA, added “Indian imitation jewellery has shown an increasing consumption pattern overseas, particularly in the US, UK, Europe, Canada, Australia and many Asian countries. We are hopeful to sign on with several distribution partners to add to our markets overseas.”
Gracing the occasion, there were series of foreign diplomats namely Ms. Upekkha Samaratunga - Consul General of Sri Lanka, Mrs. Ceylan Ozen Erisen - Consul General of Turkey, Mrs. Maria Tereza Mesquita Pessoa - Deputy Consul General of Brazil, Mrs. Trunklinah Gabonthone – Director, Botswana Investment and Trade Centre, Mr. Matthieu Lefort - Trade Commissioner of France and Ms Magdalene Loh - Centre Director, International Enterprise Singapore were present at the venue.
The exhibition has also acted as a networking place for smaller and medium manufacturers from cities like Lucknow, Rajkot, Ahmedabad, Ludhiana, Jaipur, Bhopal, Mysore, Hyderabad etc.
Fashion Jewellery & Accessories Show 2013 (FJAS) have included a wide array of products to cater different kind of markets including costume, antique, fashion jewellery, accessories for men and women, packaging material, bridal jewellery, crystals, beads, handicraft jewellery, gold and silver plated metal jewellery, bindi and body tattoos, Jewellery machinery and equipments among others.
