Hydroponic gardening is justifiably establishing itself as the preferred method for production of plants, especially in areas otherwise not suitable for traditional soil gardening. There is currently a void in specialized control systems for these types of gardens, but after three years of dedicated research and development Grohaus Automation is pleased to announce the release of the Hydroid™ hydroponic automation suite.

We're bringing 'efficiency and simplicity' to a propagation method that has tangible benefits over traditional gardening, but for many has otherwise been regarded as too specialized and complicated.

“The Hydroid™ will fundamentally change the way people think about growing their crops hydroponically,” said Cameron Laubisch, President of Grohaus Automation. “The notion that hydroponically grown plants should require constant attention and manual adjustments is archaic, and frankly isn't relevant in the 21st century where everything is computer controlled. Not to mention, using computers to constantly maintain the optimal environmental requirements of any plant offer real and quantifiable increases in yield. We're bringing 'efficiency and simplicity' to a propagation method that has tangible benefits over traditional gardening, but for many has otherwise been regarded as too specialized and complicated.”

“Our Hydroid™ is an incredibly versatile, all-in-one system that manages everything according to user-defined set-points and conditions. The user can monitor their garden remotely using an internet enabled smart phone or computer, and the Hydroid™ will also notify the user via text or email should the deployed sensors register anything that deviates from expected readings. We’ve designed the Hydroid™ to be easy to set up, simple to operate, and ultimately reduce the amount of labor and resources required to grow crops hydroponically.”

Grohaus Automation Inc., is a technology company located in Santa Rosa, California. The co-founders Cameron Laubisch and Jordan Gartenhaus started the company after they recognized a real need for technological innovation in the gardening industry. Having both graduated with engineering degrees from the Rochester Institute of Technology in 2006, Cameron and Jordan believe they can marry computers and gardening in a way never realized before. Their ultimate goal is to design and manufacture the most efficient and highest quality gardening accessories available today in order to make your cultivating experience more fruitful.
