According to a CBS Chicago article on February 8th, in the early morning hours of February 6, a Glenview Village snow plow driver ran a stop sign and clipped a PACE bus, then struck a passenger car before striking a house. The PACE bus ran off the road, through a 25-foot-high hedge, and came to rest in a yard. The lone passenger on the bus was taken to a local hospital. He has retained Willens Law Offices to seek compensation for his injuries.

According to the CBS Chicago article, the plow driver was cited by police for running the stop sign, but local residents believe that the set-up of the intersection is partly to blame for the accident. One Glenview Village resident was quoted by CBS Chicago as saying, “We’ve been telling the village we need a [four way] stop sign there.”

The bus passenger fortunately did not suffer life threatening injuries.
