Using the same robotic filling arm as the RO600, the RO600-A boasts a fully automatic conveyor belt and offers a greater degree of bespoke automation, including extras such as a cup drop, lidding and dispatch feature; together lessening the need for human intervention even further and allowing them to expand and compete with larger businesses, safely.

Using the same robotic filling arm as the RO600, the RO600-A boasts a fully automatic conveyor belt and offers a greater degree of bespoke automation, including extras such as a cup drop, lidding and dispatch feature; together lessening the need for human intervention even further and allowing them to expand and compete with larger businesses, safely.

The first of the new robotic series, the RO600, was officially launched at the annual Ice Cream Alliance exhibition Harrogate in February, and the latest edition shows the speed of evolution within the sector and indeed, the company.

Phil Darvell, managing director of ROKK Processing, commented: “The RO600-A is an early extension of our robotic offerings, and provides manufacturers with the ability to expand operations without the additional need of investment in personnel. As with the launch of the first ‘robot’, the RO600-A hasn’t been designed and launched to replace employees, rather offer the means for controlled financial expansion. As a result small to medium businesses will be able to compete in the same market as the multi-nationals.”

Easily controlled via its Siemens S7 PLC control panel which provides three pre-programmed decoration recipes, although many more can be added and stored, the Industrial ice cream machine can be fully operational at the simple touch of a button.

The RO600-A can fill up to 600 five litre containers, or 800 one or two litre tubs per hour. On the decoration side it can create up to 360 rectangular cakes or 300 round cakes per hour, all of which can now be processed, sealed and transferred to dispatch at a continual, uninterrupted pace that’s never been so readily available to the small to medium sized manufacturer.

Phil, continued, “It (the RO600-A) can and will streamline the process of any task it is set to perform, which has a fairly immediate influence on the company’s bottom line profits, meaning the machine will ultimately pay for itself even quicker.”
