Dallas, Texas (PRWEB) April 02, 2013
Hartline Dacus Barger Dreyer LLP is pleased to announce the addition of Brian P. DeVoss, a business transaction attorney. He has 10 years of experience as an attorney and joins the firm as Of Counsel.
Brian’s practice focuses on transactional and work-out matters involving real estate, oil and gas, and other commercial asset contracts. He also has extensive experience with the formation and capitalization of business entities.
Brian has an excellent track record representing court-appointed receivers in Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC) securities fraud actions and other regulatory and commercial disputes. Such cases involve distressed asset issues, insider claims, foreign asset recovery, claims administration, and sometimes parallel civil and criminal claims against both the individuals and assets involved. Before joining HDBD, Brian practiced at a large Dallas-based law firm where he served as lead attorney for several business transaction and litigation matters.
“We appreciate the business litigation perspective that Brian brings to business transactions,” says Jeff Patterson, Managing Partner of Hartline Dacus Barger Dreyer LLP. “His well-rounded insight will serve the firm well and add real value to our clients.”
A graduate of Southern Methodist University (BBA) and Tulane Law School, Brian is admitted to both the Texas and Louisiana State Bar Associations. He is active in the Dallas community, serving as board chair of Dallas Community Lighthouse, which provides tutoring and other services to underprivileged youth in low-income apartment communities.
