The SEN Design Group, a buying and business development group for kitchen and bath design firms, demonstrated the foundation modules of its end-to-end SEN Network Management System (NMS) before 200+ of its members and preferred vendors during the organization’s Spring Conference held in Charlotte on March 6-9th.

“This is where the industry has to go; kitchen/bath dealers who are not on this kind of automation won’t be in business in a few years,” added Rudy Detweiler, Executive VP of Elkay Cabinetry.

“The many benefits emanating from this automation will transform the front and back ends of a kitchen/bath dealership,” said President Ken Peterson, CKD. “Finally, the 21st Century of office automation and business productivity is coming to the industry we love and in which we make our living. Like a thunderous slam-dunk that changes the momentum of a basketball game, the professional lives of our members will almost immediately become more meaningful, less stressful, and definitely more lucrative. That’s why we are calling this system “The Game Changer.”

Conference attendees witnessed how to take a lead from the initial visit to project budgeting to estimating to electronic ordering to scheduling and all the way through to post-sale marketing. The industry-specific program is web-based and can be accessed where the Internet is accessible. Beta-testing and member training will take place during the summer months with the system going live in the 4th quarter of 2013.

“WOW!” was all that Sandy Winslow of LaGrange, GA could say after seeing the 3½ hour demonstration. A former builder until the housing market crashed, Winslow had been frustrated with the absence of a full cycle dealer management system in the kitchen/bath industry.

“This is where the industry has to go; kitchen/bath dealers who are not on this kind of automation won’t be in business in a few years,” added Rudy Detweiler, Executive VP of Elkay Cabinetry.
