The YSN Sports Broadcasting Academy Announces Appointment of Vice-President of Academic Affairs

The YSN Sports Broadcasting Academy is pleased to announce that Rich Burk has been appointed as Vice President of Academic Affairs and will also serve on the academy faculty.

A long-time seasoned professional sportscaster, Rich brings a wealth of knowledge, real world experience and passion to the YSN Sports Broadcasting Academy.

He also brings an extensive record of training and developing aspiring sports broadcasters.

Rich currently handles the Pac-12 Northwest for ROOT Sports.

He has helped launch or develop the careers of many sportscasters, including John Strong, the television voice of the Portland Timbers of MLS; ESPN play-by-play announcer Justin Kutcher; and Tim Hagerty, voice of the Tucson Padres of the Triple-A Pacific Coast League.

"I'm thrilled with their accomplishments," said Rich. "I want these guys to make it to the highest level. If I played a small role in that, I'm really proud of it. I want to do everything I can to help my students succeed."

Rich is a graduate of Pacific University in Forest Grove, Oregon.

ABOUT US: The YSN Sports Broadcasting Academy is a prestigious, 13-week national training program for high school students and recent high school graduates. Classes are taught weekly in a live and interactive web-based teaching platform.
