Newt Global has launched a very interactive roadside assistance application ‘efmfm AARSA’ (Anytime Anywhere Road Side Assistance). AARSA is a complete solution to optimize the operational efforts of agencies providing roadside assistance for automobile companies. It ‘WOWs’ the end user experience of roadside assistance. AARSA enables end-users to track real time location of technicians (rescue vehicles) coming to attend the road side service request.

AARSA has three mobile modules- End User, Service provider, Technician module, in addition to a Web-console for administrative purposes.

AARSA is developed with the dual approach to target wider audiences: One solution routes the workflow via call centers and alternate solutions eliminate the call centers' workflow.

First Approach: using call center agent- The registered end-user can raise a request for RSA by choosing from a range of options like breakdown, accident, low battery, out of fuel, flat tyre and many more by just pressing the icon from their mobile phone. The call center agent will receive and acknowledge the RSA request alert from the end-user. The agent will search, select and send service request to the best possible service provider, based on the personnel availability and distance from the end-user. The service provider can acknowledge and send the details and estimated time of start of technician to the agent, which the agent can forward to the end-user. The end-user can track the real time status of the technician (rescue vehicle) coming to attend the rescue service request.

In an alternate approach, the registered end-user can directly search, select and send an RSA request to the best possible service provider from the list populated by the application. The selected service provider can acknowledge the customer request and respond with the technician details and estimated time of start.

The Service provider module of AARSA populates a list of customers/end-users seeking rescue service at the service providers in a particular location. The service provider can select and acknowledge the service request from the customer. He can assign the task of rescue service to the available technician. He can forward the details and ETS (Estimated Time of Start) of the technician to the customer by using the application. The service provider will receive notification when the technician reaches the customer location.

The technician module of the AARSA application allows technicians to acknowledge the service allotted by the service provider and see the current location of the customer on his device and reach him. He can capture photographs of the vehicle in case the customer requires an insurance claim.

At the center of this network is a Web-console, which enables the administrator to approve and renew membership for customers and service providers. Administrators can do real time tracking of technicians (rescue vehicles) and monitor the speed, status, and distance from end-user and estimated time of arrival at customer site. Administrators can send automatic alerts for marketing like discounts, etc.

Other amazing features of AARSA are capturing service quality, keeping complete track of technicians with their photographs, and the Geo fencing option-to track shared location of customers and technicians in a particular zone. Besides this, many more customizable options have drastically reduced the response time and the operating cost of roadside assistance and generated maximum ROI.
