On 1st March 2013 Ananda Soul Creations (formerly Ananda Designs) opened the doors to its first retail shop in the heart of Ubud, the new mecca for yoga and well-being. The shop’s official launch “party” took place on Easter Sunday with a blessing ceremony led by a Balinese priest. The store showcases Ananda Soul Creation’s latest collection of luxury yoga inspired jewelry that is themed “Live Your Dream”.

The decision to open a dedicated retail shop was made to allow for a more personal connection with clients. Ananda Soul Creations’ founder and head designer Christina Zipperlen said, “I wanted to be able to connect with my customers face to face, to explain to them the meaning of the pieces and guide them to what would suit them best”. Ubud, Bali where Ananda Soul Creations is based, provides an ideal location for this company that holds yoga and ethics at the heart of its business. “Ubud is a wonderful place of conscious people who want to make a difference in the world and are interested in yoga. There are many yoga related businesses on Hanoman Road where we have opened our store whether it be clothing, jewelry or raw food, so it’s a perfect fit” said Christina Zipperlen.

In keeping with local Balinese Tradition the shop had its official launch party on Easter Sunday with a blessing ceremony led by a Balinese priest. “Balinese culture is steeped in spirituality and ritual and I feel as foreigners it is important to respect their customs when we have the good fortune to create projects here. I also personally believe in the power of putting prayers, love and hope into spaces and projects and what better way to do that than through the magic and joy of a Balinese ceremony!” said Christina Zipperlen.

The new collection available in the shop is intended to support women to live their dreams and connect with their true beauty. The rings are engraved with affirmations such as 'Peace', 'Love. Truth. Bliss' and 'Live your dream'. The necklaces carry symbols such as the Hamsa - hand of fortune, Ganesha - the lord of success and protection, the Tree of Life and a dove symbolizing hope and peace. The principal crystals used are amethyst, citrine and aquamarine. Christina Zipperlen said, “I chose these crystals because amethyst is wonderful for calming the nervous system, releasing stress and enabling us to focus. Citrine is said to increase self-confidence and to stimulate creativity, enthusiasm, and joy. It is also believed to invite wealth and prosperity into your life. Aquamarine is known to bring calmness and peace, facilitating meditation. It also strengthens self-expression and sensitivity.” These intentions are included in prayers said during the production process for the jewelry and all the crystals are blessed by a Balinese priest.

The shop is located at Jalan Hanoman #2, Ubud, Bali. For those unable to make it all the way to Bali the new collection may be seen and purchased at the Ananda Soul Creations’ website: http://www.anandasoulcreations.com.
