For the third year in a row, on March 21st, PrimeRevenue’s employees participated in community gardening activities at Atwood Community Gardens, an outdoor S.T.E.M.-based urban agriculture training center managed by the NEXT Steps Youth Entrepreneur Program (NSYEP). By volunteering in community programs such as the NSYEP project, PrimeRevenue, Inc., the leading SaaS platform for global Supply Chain Finance (SCF), helps provide collaborations and networking opportunities with students, mentors, local business owners, government officials, and college institutions generating community service and promoting economic development.
The Atwood Community Gardens & Urban Farm training center and outdoor event facility introduces at-risk youth to career pathways in science, technology, engineering and mathematics (S.T.E.M) through initiatives that promote civic leadership, health & wellness education, urban agritourism, social entrepreneurism and environmental stewardship. In addition, their new S.T.E.M. Direct workforce development training and direct placement program will serve as the missing link in providing a more competitive and highly skilled work pool within high-end S.T.E.M. industries (telecommunications, biotechnology, atmospheric physics, etc.). In a few short years and with the help of several local organizations including PrimeRevenue, Atwood was transformed from a community eyesore into a 3.5 acre outdoor recreation oasis and S.T.E.M. learning lab.
“During the past three years, we have seen Atwood Community Gardens transform into an inviting space where community members work, learn, and grow,” said Julie Erwin, chief community officer, PrimeRevenue, Inc. “Many of our employees volunteer and we are proud to once again bring the spirit of our company together through community-focused activities that create a positive difference in the lives of low income and at-risk youth,” added Erwin.
