Leverage-a-Lawyer is sponsoring a lucky mom to attend the Mom Gets a Business conference in New York City, where she will learn how she can sustain a balance of a successful career and motherhood.

Launching the Mom Gets a Business conference to help moms create wealth and flexibility has been a longtime dream for Mom Gets a Life owner and local mom, Patty Lennon. Now businesses like Leverage-a-Lawyer are helping her reach moms who need the guidance and tools the conference will offer, especially those who would not be able to attend without financial help.

Leverage-a-Lawyer is donating a scholarship that will send one mom to the Mom Gets a Business conference on April 26th in New York City, so that she can take advantage of the business-building resources and networking opportunities the one-day event will offer. Leverage-a-Lawyer, which is based in New Mexico and has earned national recognition for helping women in business, provides legal resources and contract templates to provide an affordable and accessible legal option for entrepreneurs and small businesses.

Leverage-a-Lawyer Founder and CEO Jessica Eaves Mathews stated: "Patty Lennon and the Mom Gets a Business Conference are such an inspiration to us at Leverage-a-Lawyer. We are passionate about helping to educate and empower women to pursue their dreams and passions through entrepreneurship, and so sponsoring a scholarship for this amazing conference was very important to us. We are grateful that there are amazing women leaders out there like Patty who are helping women be successful on their own terms. This is going to be an amazing event."

In addition to business scholarships through companies like Leverage-a-Lawyer, other scholarships are giving women the chance to take their first steps toward financial freedom and a rewarding balance between career and motherhood. This includes the contributions from the Indiegogo crowd-funding campaign, funded by women all over the world who want to show their support for moms, and three scholarships, funded by Mom Gets a Life, are reserved for women returning to the work force after cancer treatments. Lennon, who lost her mom to cancer last year and whose close friend is currently engaged in the treatment process, feels passionate about giving these moms the opportunity and encouragement they need to get back to their dreams.

“Above all, my goal is to remove the barriers of entry that women perceive when starting their own businesses with children at home,” Lennon said. “I hope these scholarships ensure that money doesn’t hold back the women who need this information and opportunity the most.”

The Mom Gets a Business conference was launched Patty Lennon, founder of Mom Gets a Life, to answer the greatest need a woman with children has today: to create wealth with the flexibility and freedom to be the moms they want to be. Her mission is to help moms of young children access their personal power and start their own businesses on their own terms, with the support network they need. The Mom Gets a Business will be held on April 26th, 2013 in New York City. For details and registration, visit http://www.momgetsabiz.com.
