SOLiD, a publicly-traded global communications solutions innovator, launched its new Link Balancer Unit (LBU) today – a “DAS Tray” which delivers superior control, simplicity and reliability compared with current industry offerings. Designed and manufactured by Kaelus, a leading provider of RF and microwave solutions for the wireless telecommunications industry, the LBU can be bundled with SOLiD’s ALLIANCE multi-service DAS and EXPRESS single-carrier DAS to provide wireless operators with an integrated, end-to-end solution that optimizes DAS signal power and clarity performance.

Wireless operators increasingly require DAS Trays to enable a centralized method for attenuating RF signals in DAS networks. The SOLiD LBU’s elegant and high-quality form factor reduces the amount of cabling and the number of third party components commonly required to fabricate a DAS Tray. In addition, the LBU empowers wireless operators and DAS integrators to quickly and easily address network performance issues.

SOLiD Link Balancer Unit features:

  •     Supports MIMO and SISO BTS Configurations
  •     Band configurations at 700/800/850/900/1900/2100 MHz
  •     DIN connections for BTS inputs, N connections for DAS and monitor ports
  •     40 and 200 watt handling versions
  •     Low PIM performance <-161dBc
  •     19” rack design; 2 RU
  •     50db variable attenuation for Rx and Tx; 1db steps
