Profile Tree interviewed the team behind A La Carte Occasions in a discussion about Romance, Love, getting a wedding day planned to perfection and the role of Social Media in small businesses.
When two helplessly romantic women set out to plan the most perfect weddings, the outcome is bound to be sophisticated, detailed oriented and beyond creative.
When asked what inspired her to start the business, Amanda Kopcic, founder, said “I have been a wedding and portrait photographer for 5 years and teamed up with Kim, an event planner and display coordinator, to offer brides the opportunity to have the wedding of their dreams.”
Amanda recommends hiring a wedding planner because simply it “gives the bride and groom more time to enjoy the process. How wonderful would it be if one of the most important days in your life could be accomplished without stress? Planners allow for the bride and groom to truly enjoy their wedding and replace stress with memories.”
When asked about the day to day work, Amanda had some words for a rising wedding planner - “Creativity, compassion, good negotiation skills, flexible and a strong work ethic make for a successful event planner.” She said.
Both recommend the internet and social media when it comes to getting new ideas and promoting their business. “The internet opens doors to future clients that may not have heard about us through regular media” says Amanda.
