NCMA leads the way in raising the awareness of the importance of a robust, well-trained, and integrated contract management function. - Bill Bressette
Tysons Corner, Virgnia (PRWEB) April 02, 2013
On March 11, Bill Bressette, a principal with Baker Tilly Virchow Krause, LLP (Baker Tilly) Government Contractor Advisory Services group, was elected to NCMA’s 23-member Board of Directors. An NCMA Fellow, Bressette brings more than 15 years of government contracting expertise to the position.
NCMA fosters the professional growth and educational advancement of its more than 22,000 members. Voting for the three-year term board positions was open to the entire membership.
"I’m honored to serve as a member of NCMA’s Board of Directors," Bressette said. "Contract management is an often overlooked and underutilized, yet critical, lever for both industry and government to drive cost savings, improve outcomes, and manage risk. NCMA leads the way in raising the awareness of the importance of a robust, well-trained, and integrated contract management function. Accordingly, a big part of my vision is supporting the development of curricula at the university level and driving demand for careers in contract management to help transform the acquisition environment for future generations."
Bressette currently serves as the Past-President of the NCMA Tysons Chapter, the largest of NCMA’s 131 chapters with over 1900 members. He is also actively involved in a number of other professional associations, including the Professional Services Council, the Coalition for Government Procurement, TechAmerica, and the American Bar Association, where he has served since 2009 as the Vice Chair on the Commercial Products and Services Committee, Section of Public Contract Law.
A sought-after speaker and author on contract management, pricing, and compliance, Bressette has been a regular presenter at NCMA World Congress. He will be presenting on "GSA Schedule Services Contracting and the Cost-build Approach to Pricing" at this year’s conference in July.
