For families in the region, the opening of Splash Island each year signals the approaching summer.

“We know families love to cool off and recharge in Splash Island Water Park and we can’t wait to open this season.”

The opening of Splash Island Water Park, the region’s largest water park, is an undeniable sign for families that summer is approaching. Children and adults anxiously await the warmer weather, when it’s time to splish-splash in the park’s more than a dozen water attractions. The wait is over as Splash Island Water Park welcomes guests back for the 2013 season Saturday, April 6 and gives Season Passholders first access to the water park every Saturday.

“We know families love to cool off and recharge in Splash Island Water Park and we can’t wait to open this season,” said Molly Deese, general manager for Wild Adventures Theme Park. “There’s never been a better time to be a Season Passholder with early entry to Splash Island on Saturdays. Passholders get the first chance to rent a locker and grab a chair in their favorite spot.”

Early entry to Splash Island is a new, exclusive benefit for Season Passholders on Saturdays. Passholders will be able to enter the water park 30 minutes before all other guests, giving them first access to locker rentals, lounge chairs and the giant water slides Hakini Rapids and Kona Cliffs.

Splash Island Water Park opens Saturdays and Sundays from April 6 to May 19 before opening daily for the summer on May 25. The water park, open April 6 to September 2, has more than a dozen water rides and attractions including three huge slides, wave pool, children's area and over a million gallons of cool, water filled fun.

On opening day of Splash Island Water Park, Wild Adventures will also host country music star Ronnie Dunn in concert at 8:00 PM. The concert is included with park admission. Guests can upgrade to reserved seats for an additional cost.
