Following reports of a recent Salvation Army theft in Las Vegas, Empire Digital Products expresses its dismay and reminds the public how important charity organizations are.

On April 3, the founder of Empire Digital Products, a leading copier company, responds to an article published by Downtown News describing a recent Salvation Army theft in Las Vegas, Nevada.

According to Downtown News, a Salvation Army administrative building in Las Vegas, NV was recently robbed on March 25. The article says organization officials blame thieves for covering security cameras and disabling a protective electric gate to enter the building. The culprits stole two HVAC air conditioning units and damaged additional machinery. The damage amounts to over $19,000.

Salvation Army coordinator Major Robert Lloyd says, “In the present economic environment, this type of loss is devastating. Although our insurance will cover some of these losses, we truly cannot afford incidents like this. Every dollar lost represents a reduction in services to our beneficiaries.”

Scott Brodsky, the founder of Empire Digital Products, says experiencing such a tragedy is a terrible hardship; however it should encourage the Las Vegas community to help the organization.

“As an annual contributor to the Salvation Army, I believe in what the organization does and how important it is,” Brodsky says. “That’s a big financial burden to carry for any organization. However, any money taken from the Salvation Army is taken out of the hands of people in need. This is a terrible loss for the organization. It’s time for members of the Las Vegas community to band together and help repair the facility or maybe even help raise money.”

Empire Digital Products is currently one of the most well respected copier dealerships in New York. Their dual focus is on reducing overhead and enhancing document workflow. With the best service department in the industry and a very capable staff it is no wonder Empire has met with such success.
