“Art Party 21 is an opportunity for anyone – art lovers and novices alike – to experience art in a variety of formats,” says Cynthia J. Haffey, executive director of Platform Art.

Platform Art, a nontraditional non-profit arts organization, is gearing up for its 10-year anniversary with a signature event, Art Party 21, a celebration of visual art, film, fashion, sound and performance art in a fun, unimposing setting.

Doors open at 7 p.m. and festivities begin at 7:30 p.m. on Saturday, April 20 at Wall Foss Financial, 212 East Highland Drive.

“Art Party 21 is an opportunity for anyone – art lovers and novices alike – to experience art in a variety of formats,” says Cynthia J. Haffey, executive director of Platform Art. “In one area, you may see sculptures, while in another interpretive dance and in still another, a short film.”

Many Platform Art events showcase new, emerging talent, but Art Party 21 will feature artists from throughout Florida who began by exhibiting at Platform Art events and have gone on to achieve professional success.

“We are excited to showcase artists from our past to help us celebrate Platform Art’s 10th anniversary,” Haffey said. “It shows how much the artists have grown and how far we’ve come in 10 years.”

Discount tickets for the celebration are available for $10 per person at http://www.platformart.org. Tickets are $20 per person on the day of the event. Memberships start at $100 and offer a variety of added benefits, including an open bar and VIP area at the event.
