The International Youth Conditioning Association, an organization dedicated to improving the quality of offerings in the youth fitness industry, has released the Big Book of Programs. The product is currently available for online purchase.
The Big Book of Programs has been designed to help youth fitness specialists improve their training by giving them a glimpse into programs that have brought success to some of the top trainers in the youth athletic development field today.
“If you’re like most trainers and coaches the IYCA has helped, you want to see how others are taking what they’ve learned and applying it with the young athletes they serve,” says IYCA CEO Pat Rigsby.
“Our new Big Book of Programs features some of the best, safest childhood athletic development programs by the biggest names in fitness”, Rigsby continues.
The IYCA’s latest product, the Big Book of Programs, is a compendium of time-tested, results-producing youth fitness & sports performance training programs from some of the IYCA’s top professionals.
While some of these programs are sport specific, most concern general athlete development and all have produced results for the athletes served by the IYCA’s trainers and coaches.
“The IYCA has collaborated with top youth fitness professionals on products in the past, but never quite to the magnitude we now have for the Big Book of Programs,” claims IYCA President Nick Berry.
Indeed, the Big Book of Programs features young athlete exercise programming from over 50 of the nation’s leading youth fitness and athlete development coaches and trainers.
Among the many people who contributed to the book are hockey conditioning expert Mike Pickles, female soccer ACL injury expert Susan Wade, explosive speed guru C.J. Easter, and general youth sports conditioning programmer Michael Sotos.
“Each trainer has made an invaluable contribution to this book, in addition to the amazing contributions they have already made to the fields of youth fitness and athlete development at large,” Berry notes.
The book contains everything from advice on self massage from Ken Grall and youth injury prevention strategies from Clyde Mealy, to Adrianne Ortiz’s tips on speed and strength training for female athletes.
“I couldn’t be more proud of how the Big Book of Programs has turned out,” Rigsby proclaims. “The book offers youth fitness trainers the most in depth look at the best practices in young athlete exercise programming.”
