NanoSatisfi and SPACECIALIST have today signed an agreement to collaborate on Science, Technology, Engineering, and Math (STEM) education, allowing students from middle school onward to access an online curriculum, design experiments, and control NanoSatisfi’s in-orbit Arduino© based nano-satellite using an interactive web interface for only $250. As a consequence of the agreement, SPACECIALIST will become NanoSatisfi’s official representative in Israel.

Redefining the Use of Space: There is a perception that space costs billions of dollars, and is just for the military and governments. In reality, space is affordable and open to individuals. By providing cutting-edge education and workforce development opportunities using space technologies, NanoSatisfi aims to foster a new generation of Science, Technology, Engineering, and Math (STEM) professionals.

NanoSatisfi CEO, Peter Platzer states: “We are excited to be working with SPACECIALIST to offer our education curriculum and satellite access to students in Israel. NanoSatisfi believes that hands-on, inspirational education is at the heart of innovation, global competitiveness, and economic growth. As a high-tech hub, Israel is a natural market for us and Spacecialist's leadership in aerospace and education make them an ideal partner.”

SPACECIALIST CEO, Meidad Pariente states: "We are excited to introduce to Israeli youth and students an amazing STEM education tool as the 'ArduSat', designed and build by NanoSatisfi, using our partners GomSpace and ISIS hardware. This is a great opportunity for the general public to get hands-on experience as space engineers, having the ability to design experiments and control actual real satellites. We were searching high and low for the right way to draw students to STEM education, and thanks to NanoSatisfi Satellite On Demand concept we are getting closer to achieve our goals.”

The partnering agreement is effective as of today and initially covers product distribution in Israel. Additional collaboration opportunities are also under discussion.
