Kathy Burgess Named Vice President, Business Development at J Street Companies

J Street Companies has announced the promotion and appointment of Kathy Burgess to Vice President, Business Development, adding senior level resources to the firm’s expansion of property management services as well as new business support for the company’s brokerage and project management business throughout the Washington, DC Metro Area.

Kathy has been a General Manager for J Street since 2011 and continues to oversee the property operations of more than 600,000 square feet of commercial office space in Washington, DC and Northern Virginia. She has extensive hands on experience with all aspects of building operations and is uniquely able to represent landlord clients while understanding and ensuring tenant satisfaction. While at J Street, Kathy has overseen more than $3 million in tenant improvement (TI) projects, including projects for clients Northern Virginia Community College, Pitney Bowes, and MedStar Heath. Additionally, Kathy serves as the company’s project manager for the implementation and coordination of Building Engines, our powerful online work order system that serves all of the J Street managed portfolio.

Prior to J Street, Kathy was a Property Manager for Rim Pacific Management where she managed more than 400,000 square feet of class A and B commercial office space.
