ArtistWorks has released the first ever Video Exchange Jam featuring playing from each of their virtuoso guitar teachers
Napa, CA (PRWEB) April 03, 2013
ArtistWorks, the leading interactive lifestyle social learning platform, has released the first Video Exchange Jam featuring master guitar players from the worlds of rock, jazz, bluegrass, classical, Dobro and fingerstyle guitar.
In the same way students of their online music lessons get feedback from these world-renowned teachers, the Guitar Campus teaching artists used the Video Exchange platform to share a blues backing track and add their parts. The video backing track features ArtistWorks Bass Campus teacher and legendary bass player, Nathan East.
The resulting Video Exchange Jam can be enjoyed on the ArtistWorks Guitar Campus.
It’s a rare opportunity to see masters of bluegrass, rock, jazz, fingerstyle, Dobro and classical guitar bring their respective musical styles and points of view to that archetypical improvisational standard, the blues jam.
“Since ArtistWorks' online guitar teachers all have busy touring schedules and can't be at the same place at the same time, we utilized our Video Exchange platform for a virtual jam,” said David Butler, CEO of ArtistWorks. “Just like their students, these guys didn’t have to be in the same place at a specific time to have a very meaningful and interactive musical experience.”
The ArtistWorks Guitar Campus is comprised of The Online Rock Guitar School with Paul Gilbert, The Flatpick Guitar School with Bryan Sutton, the Fingerstyle Guitar School with Martin Taylor, the Jazz & More Guitar School with Andreas Oberg, The Classical Guitar School with Jason Vieaux and the Dobro School with Andy Hall.
Using ArtistWorks’ patent-pending Video Exchange Feedback Platform, anyone can become the player they always wanted to be with personalized feedback from these monster players. Each teacher puts a comprehensive video guitar lesson library online and students can submit practice videos whenever they have questions. Teachers respond with video feedback and these interactions are paired together for all students to see and learn from.
