BuyVia, an app and website that provide the first all-in-one smart shopping experience across devices, today released analytics detailing the most searched and clicked products among the 1 million available. The analytics revealed that “Laptop,” “iPhone,” “Dell,” “anti-virus,” and “iPad Mini” were the top five most searched items through the website while “laptop,” “iPhone5,” “iPad,” “TV,” and “iPhone” were the five most searched items through the app. All are in order of popularity. BuyVia analytics also showed that the most clicked on item via the website was the black iPhone 5, a strong indication that consumers are interested in upgrading to the most current iPhone model given that the majority (38%) of BuyVia app users are iPhone 4S owners.

“While some are questioning Apple’s ability to continue to command market leadership, the Apple iPhone remained king when it came to Smartphone searches in March,” said Norman Fong, CEO and Co-Founder of BuyVia. “Dell laptops were the most searched brand in March, indicating that although tablets are increasing in popularity, laptops remain a significant device in consumers’ lives.”

BuyVia App and Website Demographics
Since its launch in November, BuyVia app users have been primarily female (61%), but March website analytics showed that an even larger percentage (79%) of online shoppers were female. The majority of BuyVia app users (38%) are between the ages of 35 and 54, while the majority of BuyVia website visitors (29%) are between the ages of 25 and 34. Additional demographics show that 73% of visitors to BuyVia’s website do not have children, and 87% are located in North America. Currently, 38% of BuyVia users access the app via an iPhone 4s, 28% via an iPhone 5 (up from 21% last month), 22% via an iPhone 4 and 3% from an iPad.
