Rogaine or Propecia were previously the only treatments for patients in the early to moderate stages of hair loss, but results were very unreliable. ACell + PRP offers a more effective solution with consistent results.

Tacoma, WA (PRWEB) April 04, 2013

Dr. Robert Niedbalski, a hair transplant surgeon and medical director at Northwest Hair Restoration in Tacoma, WA, is the sole practice in the Pacific Northwest to offer the much talked about Stem Cell Therapy Injection using ACell + PRP (platelet-rich plasma) to stimulate hair regeneration. Dr. Niedbalski also contributed valuable research to this breakthrough in the field of hair restoration. The injection uses ACell, an FDA approved wound healing powder that activates stem cells in scalp tissue, suspended in the patient’s own PRP to significantly improve the quality of hair re-growth in patients with early to moderate hair loss. Within six months, patients see remarkable hair growth where previously the hairs were wispy and fine due to the follicles under producing.

ACell + PRP’s effectiveness at treating hair loss was first discovered by Dr. Gary Hitzig. In collaboration with Dr. Hitzig, Dr. Niedbalski took the research one step further and studied the hair regeneration injection’s effectiveness at regenerating eyebrows, which also proved successful.

For patients in the early to moderate stages of hair loss, the hair growth results after an ACell + PRP injection are significant and last for three to five years. A series of follow-up booster injections are a great solution for maintenance and prevention. For women, who are often not good candidates for hair transplantation, stem cell therapy with ACell is an exciting new option to help thicken hair for easier styling, decreasing scalp visibility, and stabilizing shedding.

“In the history of hair restoration, this is the very first time a longer-lasting, non-surgical solution has been available to men and women who are at the onset of hair loss,” said Dr. Niedbalski. "In our follow up with patients, we consistently hear and see how effectively the stem cell therapy injection is working and visibly improving hair density. Rogaine or Propecia were previously the only treatments for patients in the early to moderate stages of hair loss, but results were very unreliable. ACell + PRP offers a more effective solution with consistent results.”

Stem Cell Therapy with ACell + PRP is the latest breakthrough in follicular regeneration in the last decade and the closest researchers have come to cloning hair. The injection procedure is less invasive than a surgical procedure and requires only a 90 minute appointment to administer with no real downtime.

PRP, a key ingredient in the hair regeneration injection, is also being used in other cosmetic procedures, including skin care and other services that promote rejuvenation. ACell is also widely used in other medical procedures from wound care to oral surgery.
