(PRWEB UK) 3 April 2013
Police have released CCTV footage of a cash machine being blown apart at a petrol station in a Hampshire village, littering the forecourt with debris and cash, according to an article by The Telegraph published on April 2.
According to the article, a 26 year old man from Bristol has been arrested in connection with the bomb attached to a standalone cash point which was blown completely open, allowing the criminal to steal the money contained in the machine.
The Telegraph is reporting that police have used the CCTV footage to warn people using cash points to watch out for wires and cables leading to them which could be connected to a bomb.
A spokesperson from AlertSystems said:
“This extremely clear CCTV footage provides some astounding evidence of the worrying and dangerous lengths some criminals are willing to go to, in order to get away with cash.”
“A CCTV security system provides an effective way of identifying criminals causing damage or attempting to steal from your property or business, as well as helping the police to identify criminals and appeal for information. High Definition (HD) CCTV images can provide evidential quality images, allowing the police to accurately identify the culprits and bring successful prosecutions.”
