Teenage Activist Malala Yousafzai Shares Acceptance Remarks via Video

Last night at The John F. Kennedy Center for the Performing Arts, Malala Yousafzai was honored with the Global Trailblazer Award, a recognition of her courage, conviction, and vision for the future.

Previous recipients of the Global Trailblazer Award include President of Liberia Ellen Johnson Sirleaf, Muhammad Yunus, Michelle Bachelet, and Aung San Suu Kyi. The annual Vital Voices Global Leadership Awards recognize the global value and impact of women’s leadership. Honored guests included Vital Voices Founder Hillary Rodham Clinton and Vice President Joe Biden.
