House of Brides Hosts 2-Day Bridal Sale Celebrating 84th Anniversary

House of Brides announced this week a 2-Day Super Spring Sale Saturday, April 6th and Sunday, April 7th. The sale is the first event to commemorate the retailer’s 84th anniversary.

“Our anniversary sales and special events are our way of thanking our customers for 84 incredible years,” says President Eva Buziecki.

House of Brides is planning special sales and events for April to coincide with their anniversary. The Super Spring Bridal Sale is this Saturday and Sunday at all House of Brides salons and marks the first the scheduled events.

The sale includes $50 to $300 off retailer pices on designer wedding dresses. Special savings are available on over 700 bridesmaids dresses. Additional discounts will include savings on Mother of the Wedding, Special Occasion, Flowergirl and Prom collections. New Spring 2013 styles will be part of the sale.

The retailer was established in 1929 with its first salon in Cicero, Illinois. The company was founded as a family owned and operated retail salon.

As its popularity grew, the salon moved to a larger location in Berwyn, Illinois in 1956. Later in 1971, Eva Buziecki headed the salon working alongside her husband Dale, his grandmother and the couple’s mothers, continuing as a family business.

The Buzieckis are credited for developing the modern wedding retailer. The couple introduced new wedding designers and diversified their collections to include Mothers of the Wedding and special occasion dresses, flowergirl dresses, Quinceanera gowns, Prom dresses, wedding and special event accessories and more.

The couple also expanded with multiple Chicagoland salons. Today, the retailer has 11 locations, which includes their specialty shops Diva Plus size Size Bridal, Occaions Boutiques and Quinceanera Boutique.

In 2001, the retailer introduced its E-Commerce website, selling over 50,000 wedding and special event products to customers Worldwide.

Future plans for additional Chicagoland and nationwide salons are in the develpoment stages.
In the retailer’s 84 years, millions of brides and wedding parties have visited the Illinois salons and website. The salon continues as a family owned and operated business with the Buziecki’s 4 children working within the business.

Anniversary events are expected through the end of April.
