Pull-based inventory replenishment system enabled manufacturer to reduce active inventory by 40%.

SyncKanban™ software from Synchrono, a leader in demand-driven manufacturing software, will be featured in an innovation theater briefing by Dynisco, a Roper Industries company, at the MDM BIOMEDevice/Design and Manufacturing conference next week in Boston.

Dynisco is a leader in plastics extrusion processing and the manufacturer of Vertex™, an innovative mercury-free pressure sensor. Jim Shore, Dynisco Product/Process Improvement Leader and frequent speaker on kanban systems, will lead a case study-style presentation explaining how Dynisco scaled from a manual to an electronic kanban system to simplify their supply chain which includes tens of thousands of parts, interplant transfers, overseas locations and a large extended supply chain. Those in attendance will learn first-hand about their results, what they’ve learned and what they would tell others considering a shift to an ekanban system.

Dynisco simplified the management of their large supplier network by implementing SyncKanban™, a pull-based inventory replenishment system from Synchrono that reduced their active inventory by 40% across facilities. Based on Lean and Just-in-Time (JIT) principles, SyncKanban software gives manufacturers like Dynisco the ability to respond instantly to changes in demand while maintaining minimal inventories. The software does this by aligning inventory levels with actual consumption in real-time, sending demand signals to suppliers to replenish parts as needed. These signals are tracked through the replenishment cycle, bringing visibility to both the manufacturer and its supplier. In doing so, SyncKanban allows manufacturers to meet high throughput demands with minimal inventory, eliminating the costs of overproduction and waste while reducing administrative overhead.

SyncKanban software is web-based and easily integrates with existing ERP, CRM and financial systems. The application is sold on a SaaS-based subscription model and includes an online module for supplier relationship management.

Synchrono will be demonstrating SyncKanban at booth #644 at the MDM BIOMEDevice/Design and Manufacturing conference April 10-11 at the Boston Convention Center and will be offering a discounted subscription for the software to show attendees. A free trial of the software is also available at http://www.synchrono.com.
