Avectra Executives to Bring Fundraising Expertise to Not-for-Profit Event

WHAT:    Executives from Avectra, a leading Social CRM developer of web-based member and donor-based software for associations and not-for-profits, will lead a series of educational sessions on best ways to utilize crowdsourcing, donor engagement and fundraising strategies at The AFP International Conference for Fundraising, sponsored by the Association of Fundraising Professionals and the AFP Foundation for Philanthropy. WHO:     John Clese, director of product marketing, Not-for-Profit, Avectra. On April 8 at 1:15 p.m. Clese will lead a Learning Lab educational session titled, “Tap the Power of Crowd-Contributing (It’s Easier than You Think)”. This session will discuss Avectra’s IdeaStarter™ crowdsourcing platform which enables individuals, not-for-profits and associations to create compelling and viral campaigns to solicit and secure the funding, time, resources and connections to identify new donors and support their organization’s objectives. Clese will hold two more education sessions on the same topic on April 9 at 9:30 a.m. and 10:15 a.m.

Brenna Holmes, director, Interactive Department, Avectra and Clese, will co-present “The Elements of Multichannel Fundraising: Outreach Redefined” on April 8 at 11 a.m. This Learning Lab educational session explores the absolute basics for any multi-channel campaign, including how to choose the right tech tools -- especially e-mail, determine the appropriate metrics, organize internal teams, and incorporate social media.

Clese will lead a solo Learning Lab educational session on April 8 at 12:30 p.m. titled, “Today’s Donor: More Than Just a Number …Automating Donor Engagement is Easy” which will discuss leveraging an automated donor scoring strategy to track, analyze and react to the actions of donors to provide a tailored and personalized experience to each individual.

On Tuesday April 9 at 9:30 a.m. Clese and Holmes will be joined by Debbie Synder, vice president of sales and marketing, Adcieo, to present an educational session, “Donor, Engagement and the Metrics that Matter” which will focus on the steps to get started with collection, measurement and social engagement, using case study examples and highlighting the use of Social CRM as a philosophy and business strategy that helps organizations work smarter.

Also on April 9 at 12:45 p.m. Clese will be joined by Paul Ghiz, a managing partner with DonorDrive by Global Cloud for the educational session, “Peer to Peer Fundraising: Why it’s Rocking the Acquisition World and Creating Super Engaged Donors!” The session will look at the impact social networks have on fundraising for specific events such as road races. Through a case study example, attendees will learn how to turn their social networks into donor networks and connect with new donors.
