Abelard Construction, the premier residential and commercial restoration firm in the United States, opens up a second office in Stockbridge, Georgia to help thousands of property owners get repairs after the March tornado, hail storms and strong winds devastated building structures throughout the state. Abelard Construction is a full-service general contractor in the state of Georgia and has been serving thousands of property owners with residential and commercial restoration and construction needs over the last 12 years.

“Our dedicated teams assist property owners through every step of the insurance claims process, ensuring their properties are repaired quickly and their life is not interrupted,” says Production Manager Autumn Woosck.

According to the National Weather Service, an EF-2 tornado touched down for 13 miles on March 18th, 2013, tearing through Pike and Meriwether counties. The tornado packed winds of up to 120 mph, causing severe structural damage throughout Meriwether and Pike counties. Excessive damage included torn down walls and ripped-off roofs.

“Hail, tornado and wind damage have devastating effects to properties, and Abelard has opened a second office in Georgia to help all property owners get the repairs they need fast,” says Abelard Co-Founder Anthony Delmedico.

Chattooga, Floyd and Polk counties also suffered significant damage. This Silver Creek community in Floyd county was one of the hardest hit areas with damages estimated at more than $500,000. Pike county also experienced major wind damage to their structures including barns, homes and commercial properties.

The National Weather declared major wind damage in the Chattooga County of Summerville, causing exceeding damage to structures and buildings. Devastating storms in Polk County and northern Haralson County, including the Felton community knocked out power which not only created major structural damage, also created low water pressure in the system. Residents are being advised to boil their water for a full minute after it reaches a rolling boil.

“Our long-term commitment and ties with the Georgia community have made Abelard Construction the first place to call for storm, tornado, hail, and wind damage repairs. We offer free inspections, work with the insurance agency, and provide emergency assistance to help our clients back on their feet quickly,” says Abelard Co-Founder Brian Southard.
