Brokaw, Wisconsin (PRWEB) April 03, 2013
Brokaw Development will delay the well anticipated April 18, 2013 auction of papermaking, plant and support equipment at the former Wausau Paper Mill. “Within the next two weeks, we plan to announce a new auction date or a new owner of the site. We regret the delay but are in negotiations with buyers that could put the former Wausau property to productive commercial use. The ultimate goal is finding the right fit for the site while creating jobs for the community of Brokaw, Wisconsin”, said Eric J Spirtas, President of NIAGARA Worldwide and Brokaw Development. NIAGARA Worldwide manages this and other sites across the Nation and Europe for its own interest and that of others. “The prospects and interested parties that have approached Niagara Worldwide with interest in leasing and buying parts and parcels has been very promising,” says Don Jacobsmeyer, Director of Real Estate with Niagara Worldwide, “But finding a full site user fulfills a greater need and more than triggers our focus.”
The 52 acre plant, located 5 miles north of Wausau, Wisconsin, produced premium print and writing paper for more than 100 years and was purchased in 2011 by Brokaw Development. Niagara Worldwide serves as site and property manager for Brokaw Development and other property owners across the US and Europe.
