Hope By The Sea's co-founder and CFO, Ernest Carlsen, MD, PhD is pleased to be attending and exhibiting at the "Freedom and Recovery" Conference presented by Foundations Recovery Network. The conference is once again being held at the historic Hotel Del Coronado, Coronado, CA from April 3-6, 2013, and it features experts from around the nation who are sharing evidence-based practices regarding suicide prevention strategies, treating trauma and addiction and methods for integrating families into treatment. "Attending this very important conference allows Penny Carlsen, Hope By The Sea's administrator, and me the opportunity to meet other treatment professionals and to network throughout the day while attending workshops," reports Dr. Carlsen.

This year Hope By The Sea's booth also features their Christian drug rehab program component Celebrate Hope. Interventionist Mr. Robert Nicholl is available at the booth throughout the conference to answer questions regarding the Celebrate Hope program and interventions. "On Wednesday, April 3rd, we particularly enjoyed the Special Keynote Speaker, Captain Scott O'Grady, who wrote "Return With Honor" which tells his story of survival in hostile territory during the Bosnian War," remarks Mr. Nicholl, "Learning from Captain O'Grady gives us a perspective of what our returning military members cope with as they integrate back into civilian life."

Family members and future clients are invited to inquire about Hope By The Sea's treatment programs. We are happy to explain our services, including our faith based treatment component, Celebrate Hope. Each program incorporates the 12 step philosophy, therapeutic workshops, individual psychotherapy, group therapy, family therapy, spiritual counseling, physical fitness, cognitive behavioral therapy, and more. We are available day or night (800) 631-7753.
