Albany, NY (PRWEB) April 04, 2013
CDPHP is pleased to announce the addition of three local physicians who have been inducted into the CDPHP Physicians' Academy. The honorees include: Anthony Malone, MD, Fouad Sattar, MD, and Robin Tassinari, MD.
“This year’s honorees are being recognized for their commitment to improving the quality of health care in our community,” said John D. Bennett, MD, president and CEO, CDPHP. “As a physician-founded and guided health plan, the connection we share with our network physicians is what sets us apart. The CDPHP Physicians’ Academy is just one way that we celebrate the work being done by local physicians to achieve better health, better care, and lower costs,” added Bennett.
Created in 2004, the CDPHP Physicians’ Academy recognizes extraordinary network physicians who are nominated by their peers and selected by an esteemed panel of CDPHP Board and Physicians’ Academy members. The honorees are selected for their delivery of high-quality care, development and observance of best practices, and their willingness to mentor colleagues and staff. Each of them receives a $1,000 honorarium for training or education.
Since the Academy’s inception, and under the leadership of its dean, Anthony Tartaglia, MD, CDPHP has inducted 36 physicians from a variety of specialties.
