Boise, ID (PRWEB) April 04, 2013
The Idaho Department of Commerce Division of Tourism has launched its 2013 spring/summer marketing campaign, My ID, continuing the successful campaign launched last year. It is designed to showcase the state’s scenic beauty and abundant outdoor recreational opportunities in an entertaining, interactive way on http://www.visitidaho.org/My-ID.
Idaho Tourism was the first destination marketing organization to team up with PixFusion – a leader in personalized entertainment and composite imagery across all media formats – to utilize its innovative patented photo-personalized technology. The My ID campaign invites visitors to place themselves, family, and friends in any of seven Idaho online adventure videos. Four videos are currently available, with the rest appearing in coming weeks.
- The Adventurers – Everyone can be a super hero during an Idaho vacation. Watch it here.
- Agent 208 – Experience the mystery and intrigue of Idaho in this spy adventure
- Are We There Yet? – The entire family will enjoy this RV trip through Idaho
- Adventures in Loving – Romance is alive and well in Idaho
To take part in the online adventure, be prepared with a sense of humor and headshot photos of friends or family from your computer or Facebook account. Once created, the video may be shared via email, Facebook and Twitter. Guests may also put themselves into any of eight customizable postcards, add a message and send them to friends and loved ones.
“This is an innovative, interactive way to share some of the great vacation possibilities in our state,” says Karen Ballard, Chief Tourism Officer for Idaho Commerce’s Division of Tourism. “The videos let friends and family see how fun an Idaho vacation can be. We’re excited to combine PixFusion’s interactive elements to showcase the scenery and activities that make Idaho special,” Ballard added.
“The new Idaho Division of Tourism campaign puts a really unique and personal spin on the family road trip,” said Rich Maryyanek, CMO PixFusion/Big Tent Entertainment. “As a leader in personalized apps, this is a truly unique innovative campaign that gets people on the virtual road to see what Idaho has to offer.”
The My ID integrated campaign also includes an online sweepstakes, targeted print and online advertising, PR/social media outreach and video assets. Communications will focus on Idaho’s larger destinations like Coeur d’Alene and Sun Valley, as well as the smaller communities that offer a wealth of recreational activities, events and attractions.
The 23-week sweepstakes runs through September 5, with new giveaways announced every Friday. Visitors may enter to win on http://www.visitidaho.org/My-ID using an email address and Facebook users have a second chance entry option. Sample prizes include overnight stays, whitewater rafting trips, attraction passes, event tickets and even multi-day packages in popular Idaho destinations, including Sandpoint, Sun Valley, Coeur d’Alene, Boise, Victor and Lava Hot Springs.
