"It simply delivers a massive amount of light on the scene at the lowest cost per lumen in the market," says Mark Miller, FireTech SuperCharged Rebuild Program manager.

HiViz LED Lighting, maker of the FireTech brand brow light and scene lights, has done it again with the SuperCharge Rebuild Program by providing 35 times more light than a standard handheld Litebox®, along with the industry’s only lifetime warranty light head. “HiViz LED’s FireTech SuperCharged LiteBox® changes the standard in handheld lighting,” says HiViz LED’s SuperCharge Program Manager, Mark Miller. “It simply delivers a massive amount of light on the scene at the lowest cost per lumen in the market.”
HiViz LED Lighting emerged onto the scene with the FireTech Brow Light, revolutionizing the way fire trucks use forward-facing light by incorporating high output LED lights, split optics, a low-profile design and the industry’s only lighting lifetime warranty. HiViz LEDs continues lighting the path as a very competitive, alternative supplier of lighting solutions to the emergency, fire and rescue market with its full line of FireTech lighting solutions, ranging from brow lights to scene lights to a full line of handheld lights. The FireTech brand means it has been proven on the fire ground and used by experienced firefighters to ensure the function and safety meets the needs at the fire ground and exceeds that of the FireTech competition.“The optic pattern is designed to act as a spotlight and floodlight at the same time,” explains HiViz owner and firefighter Sam Massa. “Firefighters no longer have to scan the area with a small dot sized beam of light. This FireTech Supercharged LiteBox® illuminates the whole scene.”
Clearly, brighter is better. However, Massa was asked to explain how this value applies to a handheld light. “For instance, on a car wreck at night, an EMT is often first on the scene but without the benefit of a fire truck with scene lights. In 30 seconds the EMT can approach the vehicle, place the FireTech Supercharged LiteBox® on the ground, and be administering patient care.”
Massa’s firefighting experience shows as he described one further application, “When the first responding fire truck shows up on a fire scene a fire fighter jumps out to size up the situation and report the situation to the command," Massa explains. "With the Supercharged Litebox® it is easy to see the power lines, the foundation, find the power box, and other necessities so the fire fighters can safely and effectively begin their fire attack.”
Other applications include first responder safety during traffic directions. “Often times there is a firefighter in charge of directing traffic. However, there is little to poor light shining on him. The fire fighter can quickly place the FireTech SuperCharged LiteBox® on the ground, use the 3 axis rotating light head to direct the beam towards themselves, and light up their whole person, thus making it safer for them while directing traffic to get around the accident”
In addition to being a great source of quick light on scene, the SuperCharged LiteBox® Rebuild Program allows a fire department to use the existing housing, so that it is recycled. HiViz LED Lighting upgrades the battery for longer run time, provides a new circuit board, new switch and a seven-diode, 3500 lumen lifetime warranty light head. An extremely useful feature is that the FireTech SuperCharged LiteBox® still uses the existing charging cradle.
The same lifetime warranty light head and diodes are used in the Fire Tech Brow Light. “In addition to being bright, the FireTech Brow Lights includes such features as split optics and low profile design, while our tri-pod and push up pole lights include the feature of FlexPower™, allowing them to operate on both A/C and D/C current, so as to have the ultimate in power source flexibility," says Sam Massa, owner of HiViz LEDs.

The market response to the $395 cost for what has been a truck-mounted rechargeable flashlight has been very consistent. “The first reaction is ‘That light is too expensive,'" says Mark Miller, FireTech SuperCharge Rebuild program manager. "After a side-by-side comparison with the LiteBox they are currently using, the FireTech Supercharged LiteBox® changes the game and the response. It’s no longer a flashlight, but a handheld scene light. All questions stop except for how fast can one be delivered.”
All FireTech lighting solutions come with the only Life Time Warranty for lighting offered in the emergency/ fire/rescue industry. This is a straightforward replacement warranty for the light head for the life that the customer owns the light. If the light head stops working virtually for any reason other than crushing it, HiViz LEDs will replace it. Battery and other components carry a one-year warranty.
